A Look Inside Injection Mould Manufacturing – Wire Cut EDM at Shukla Industries
An injection mould is made through several machining and finishing operations. One of the important stages is wire-cut EDM, which is used to produce accurate profiles, slots and intricate shapes in metal components.

The photograph shows a job set up on our wire-cut EDM machine at Shukla Industries, Greater Noida. This process uses a thin electrically charged wire to cut the required profile in a conductive metal workpiece. It is particularly useful when the component requires precise shapes that are difficult to achieve through conventional machining.

In injection mould manufacturing, wire cutting is commonly used for mould inserts, punches, profiles and other precision components. The accuracy of these parts plays an important role in the final mould assembly and the quality of the plastic component produced.

At Shukla Industries, wire-cut EDM is one of the machining processes involved in our mould-making work, alongside VMC machining and EDM operations. We work on mould development and customised plastic manufacturing requirements for industrial applications.

This is a small glimpse of the work that goes into making an injection mould at our facility in Ecotech III, Greater Noida.
